These are personal book cover projects I created to stretch my illustration and typography design skills, and to explore how visuals can bring a story to life.
Each cover was illustrated using either traditional watercolor or lino printing, then edited and finalized digitally.
Designing book covers is always a puzzle — the artwork needs to hint at the story without giving too much away, while still feeling true to the book’s genre.
Typography also plays a big role. The title design has to match the tone of the book and catch the eye at a glance.
What makes a book cover truly stand out isn’t just a pretty image — it’s the thought and research behind it. Illustration and typography need to work hand-in-hand to create something that stops someone in their tracks and makes them want to read more.
