Guided Classes
for Students and Aspiring Artists

Structured, small-group classes designed to build strong foundations, improve observation skills, and guide students towards creating confident, portfolio-ready work.

Foundations of Observational Drawing (Still Life)

2 Hours (currently limited to 3 pax per session)

Structured class designed to help students develop strong foundational drawing skills through direct observation of still-life subjects.

This approach builds essential skills that are often not fully developed in school art programmes, with a focus on careful observation and technical understanding.

Students will learn how to accurately translate what they see onto paper, with guided instruction in proportion, light and shadow, and the representation of form and volume. Emphasis is placed on strengthening hand–eye coordination, visual awareness, and confidence in drawing from life.

By the end of the sessions, students will complete refined drawings and gain essential skills that form the basis for more advanced work, including portfolio development.

Individual guidance and feedback are provided to support each student’s progress.

Key Learning Outcomes

  • Develop accurate observation and drawing skills from real-life subjects
  • Understand proportion, light and shadow, and how to represent form and volume in drawing
  • Strengthen hand–eye coordination
  • Build confidence in approaching and completing drawings independently
  • Develop a stronger sense of visual aesthetics, including composition, balance and form

Watercolour Fundamentals and Technique

2 Hours (currently limited to 3 pax per session)

A structured class designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of watercolour painting through guided practice and progressive exercises.

Students will begin by learning core techniques through the study and emulation of selected examples, before applying these skills to painting from still-life subjects. Emphasis is placed on understanding watercolour medium and how to achieve good results using its properties.

With live demonstrations and close guidance in a one on one setting, students will develop confidence in handling the medium and build the technical foundation needed for more independent work.

As students progress, they will be guided towards creating their own watercolour pieces and personal projects, including portfolio-ready work.

Students are encouraged to commit to a series of sessions to fully develop confidence and control in the medium.

Individual guidance and feedback are provided to support each student’s progress.
