Who Stole The Gold?

This is a self-written picture book featuring a humorous tale about a king whose treasury gold mysteriously vanishes. His ever-loyal knight assumes a dragon is to blame and sets off on a quest — only to discover dragons who are far more interested in everything but gold.

This project is currently in development, with four completed spreads and the rest in draft form.

It is intended as a proposal for traditional picture book publishers.

Illustrated using watercolor and ink, the visuals aim to balance whimsy and storytelling with a nod to classic medieval fantasy.

To create a convincing medieval-inspired world, I researched historical costumes, architecture, and color palettes.

The challenge was blending authenticity with playfulness — ensuring the setting feels rich and believable while keeping the tone light and child-friendly.
